1. Legal Basis
The curriculum for the Master of Civil Engineering Study Program was designed with reference to:
a. Decree passed by the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 234/U/2000 on Guidelines for the Establishment of Universities, Section I, Sub Section (18) of the General Provisions, which states that a Masters Programs, hereafter referred to as Post Graduate program is an academic education level with a study load of at least 36 semester credit units and a maximum of 50 semester credit units, a 4 semester curriculum, and program duration of 4 to 10 semesters after completion of an undergraduate study program or its equivalent.
b. Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 232 / U / 2000 on Guidelines for the Design of Higher Education Curricula and Assessment of Student Learning, with the following provisions:
1) Academic education aims to prepare learners to become members of the community with an academic capability to apply, develop, and / or enrich the heritage of science, technology and / or art, and disseminate and enforce its use to improve people's lives and enrich the national culture.
2) The master program targets graduates with the following characteristics:
a) Have the ability to develop and update science, technology, and / or art by mastering and understanding the approaches, methods, scientific principles and their applications.
b) have the ability to solve problems in their field of expertise through research and development activities based on scientific principles
c) Have the ability to advance the performance of their profession which is demonstrated by their proficiency in problem analysis, and problem solving.
c. The declaration of BAN-PT No.0055 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / M / I / 2016, which stated that the Master Program of Civil Engineering, Trisakti University Jakarta is accredited with an accreditation rating '' B '’
2. Expected Competence Qualification of Graduates
The Civil Engineering Postgraduate Study Program, Faculty of Civil Engineering & Planning aims at producing graduates with:
a. the ability to think through problems and advance their professional outlook in the field of Structural Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, Water Resources and Transportation in a broader spectrum besides providing direction to develop logical reasoning ( 'inner creative factors') .
b. integrity / decent personality, open and adaptive to change and advancement in Civil Engineering Science especially in the field of Structural Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, Water Resources and Transportation.
c. the ability to sufficiently provide for learners to master concepts and fundamentals of research in the fields of Structural Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, Water Resources and Transportation and 'cognates areas’, in accordance with their level of mastery and application.
3. Curriculum Design References
The curriculum for the Postgraduate of Civil Engineering Study Program is designed and developed with reference to the Vision & Mission of Trisakti University, the Vision & Mission of Civil Engineering and Planning Faculty, the Vision and Mission of Civil Engineering Department, as well as the Vision and Mission of the Civil Engineering Postgraduate Study program. The design and development of the curriculum includes the determination of study concentration (field of study), the design of teaching materials (course units) and its dissemination across each semester in light of:
a. Regulation No. 73 of the year 2013, dated 10th June, 2013 on the Implementation of the Indonesian National Qualification Framework for Higher Education.
b. Minister of Research and Technology and Higher Education Regulation No. 44 of 2015 on Higher Education National Standards.
