1. Teaching Content and Load
Teaching material is derived from the results of an analysis of a combination of the competences of graduates of the Master of Civil Engineering study program with the competence elements. The number of course units in the Master of Civil Engineering study program is based on the learning outcomes and teaching material. The learning outcomes for the Master of Civil Engineering study program are:
a. Knowledge learning outcomes (level of mastery, scope, and depth of knowledge that characterizes the Master of Civil Engineering Study Program).
b. General Skills Learning outcomes (general work skills and responsibilities in relation to Master of Civil Engineering)
c. Specialty learning outcomes (Specific work abilities related to the Master of Civil Engineering scientific field)
d. Attitude learning outcomes (a reflection of attitudes and values as citizens and the nation of Indonesia as well as students of Trisakti University.
The study load of the Master of Civil Engineering Study Program is 40 (forty) semester credit units. The Program is scheduled in 4 (four) semesters, with a possibility for completion within 3 (three) semesters and utmost 8 (eight) semesters including the preparation of the thesis. The compulsory course units in the core curriculum are 12 credits while the compulsory course units in the Master of Civil Engineering at Trisakti University are 6 credits (must be offered by all students of Master of Civil Engineering). Specialty compulsory course units are 9 credits and selective course units are 7 credits (as per the respective concentrations) and the thesis study load is 6 credits.
Some courses in the Master of Civil Engineering Study Program embed local wisdom such as Earthquake Resistant Structure, Environmentally Friendly Drainage, Project and Construction Management and Advanced Road and Pavement Material planning.
