The legal basis for the importance of Work Safety has been well structured starting with Minister of Labor Regulation No. 7 of 1964 concerning Health Conditions for Hygiene and Information at Work. Law No. 1 of 1970 concerning Work Safety which was revealed to be Permenaker No. 5 of 1996 concerning the Health and Safety Management System of Work, Permenaker No. 4 of 1987 concerning the Committee for Guidance for Occupational Safety and Health (P2K3), Permenaker No. 1 of 1998 concerning the Implementation of Health Care for Workers with Better Benefits from the Social Security Basic Health Insurance Package (Jamsostek), Permenaker No. 3 of 1983 concerning Occupational Health Services, as well as other related regulations. Even with the dish out of Law no. 2 of 2017 about the Construction Services Industry, it is seen how important safety problems are.
Furthermore, both the Central Government and the DKI Jakarta Province as State organizers always strive to carry out the process of controlling and preventing the occurrence of accidents in the field of Construction by issuing various regulations and implementing guidelines to avoid construction accidents resulting in casualties to both construction workers and building users. The impact of a construction accident can result in death, physical disability and psychological disorders.
